Why I’m Running

I grew up on a family farm in Huron County and now live in north London with my partner and our son. I’ve seen how much our incredible community has grown and changed over the years. I am seeking the Ontario Liberal Party nomination in London North Centre because I want to help build a brighter future for my family and for families across our community. Like many parents, I want to ensure that the next generation has the same opportunities that previous generations enjoyed such as the opportunity to receive a quality education, find meaningful work, afford a home, and build a successful life in Ontario.

As a wills and estates lawyer, I have had the privilege of helping individuals and families navigate some of the most important moments in their lives. Through my work and community involvement, I have seen firsthand the challenges people face and the impact that public policy can have on their lives.

My commitment to public service began at a young age. While studying Political Science at Carleton University, I worked on Parliament Hill as an assistant to a Liberal Member of Parliament. After completing my undergraduate degree, I worked at Queen’s Park for the Ontario Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. These experiences gave me a firsthand understanding of how government works and the potential it has to make a positive difference in people’s lives.

I subsequently attended the University of Ottawa’s French Common Law J.D. program, where I strengthened my French-language skills while earning my law degree.

I believe our community needs thoughtful, practical leadership that focuses on solutions. Families are facing significant challenges, including the rising cost of living, concerns about housing affordability, increasing barriers to post-secondary education, ongoing pressures on our healthcare system, and uncertainty about what the future holds.

I am committed to advocating for policies that make life more affordable, strengthen our healthcare system, expand opportunities for young people, and help ensure that Ontario remains a place where hard work is rewarded and families can thrive.

I will represent our community with compassion, determination, and integrity. I believe that together we can build a stronger, more affordable, and more prosperous Ontario.
